Plans for Getting Back On the Road!

Tomorrow, New Year's Day, I hope to get back on the road. I'm staying at my sister's in Columbus, Ohio, where it is below freezing and snowy. I want to make it to Atlanta tomorrow -- a long drive to temperatures above zero! Then Westward, Ho!

I'm headed to Quartzite, Arizona for the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous, a gathering of folks who live in their cars, campers or RVs. I really want to learn some tips for making this lifestyle comfortable and do-able. I'm living and traveling in a camper van right now. It's great when it's not freezing!

So January 1st, 2018, I'm moving on to the next phase!

April 30, 2017

Mom's travels on Earth ended on April 30th.

I was with her as she passed, and it was apparently a quick and painless process. One moment she seemed fine, in the hospital but expecting to be released the next day. The next moment she said something (my name?), looked up at me, and never moved her gaze or body again.

I am sad, but not depressed. She lived a wonderful, long life (88 years), with so much love and friends and family and travel and art... She influenced the world for good.

I love you, Mom, and always will.
